    Yzebrands Symens, geboren in 1757, zoon van Symen Drewes en Martje Yzebrands, broer van Drewes Symens. Een broer van zijn vader was Albert Drewes, de schoonvader van Jan Rengers Doornbosch te Rottum. Zijn moeder was een zuster van Hindrik Yzebrands, met wiens dochter Stijntje Hindriks onze Yzebrand Symens in het huwelijk trad. De moeder van deze Stijntje Hindriks was Lauke Huizinga. Louke Yzebrands, dochter van Yzebrand Symens en Stijntje Hindriks, trouwde met Heertje Ubbes Dijksterhuis. Na de dood van haar eerste man hertrouwde Stijntje Hindriks met Derk Harms Schut te Oosternieland. Haar zuster Seike was de vrouw van Tjaard Harms te Usquert. Yzebrand Symens overleed volgens opgave in het stamboek-Huizinga in 1808.
