    Martje Jans (+1797) was eerder gehuwd geweest met Hindrik Jeltes Zijlma. Na haar overlijden werd ze opgevolgd door haar zoon uit het eerste huwelijk Jan Hindriks Zijlma (1761-1805), die in 1798 trouwde met Trientje Meinderts Bentema (1762-1839), weduwe van Harm Roelfs, landbouwers op het Huis Ewer. De boerderij werd vanaf dat moment lange tijd samen met het Huis Ewer geëxploiteerd. De laatste wordt in 1806 als weduwe nog steeds genoemd als gebruiker. Kort na zijn huwelijk in 1823 vestigde zich hier de zoon Hindrik Jans Zijlma (1799-1862) met zijn vrouw Hilje Geuchiens Hopma (1800-1878).
