    Enne Melles leefde op de Ungersmaborg, een voormalig slot. Deze boerderij werd ook wel "Het Groote Hof" genoemd. Het werd tot 1574 bewoond door Rudolf Huinga, die kinderloos overleed. Zijn praalgraf is te vinden in de kerk te Uithuizermeeden.Enne Melles is overleden door een val van een balk van de zolder op de Ungersmaborg. Hij was landbouwer van beroep.

    "Ungersma is een voormalig Slot, onder anderen bewoond geweest door Rudolf Huinga, die in 1577 kinderloos overleed en ter wiens eere in de fraaije kerk te Uithuister Meeden een heerlijk praalgraf is gesticht, dat nu nog de algemeene bewondering tot zich trekt."
