Eltjo trouwt op11 augustus 1784 in de Beerta (H.V.), 11 mei 1784 in de Beerta (attestatie) met Martien Abels, dochter van Abel Jans, landbouwer op 't Waar, no. 63, en Eije Mennes. Martien overlijdt tussen 5 augustus 1790 en 23 mei 1792. Ze is lidmaat der doopsgezinde gemeente in 1749, 1751 en 1752. Martien is in 1784 weduwe van Harke Hemmes.
