    Prof. dr. Geert Minderhoud (l.i.), waarnemend secretaris Groninger Landbouwbond (G. L.) 1914-1915, secretaris Groninger Maatschappij van Landbouw (G. M. L.) 1918-1927. Geboren op 26-1-1889 te Nieuwdorp, overleden in 1987.

    (Nieuwdorp 26 jan. 1889). Landbouwdeskundige. Oudste zoon van de bedrijfsboer Jan Minderhoud op de hoeve Hongersdijk in de Wilhelmina polder. R.H.B.S. te Goes, Rijks H.L.T.B.S. Wageningen (1907-1912), akte M.O. Landbouwonderwijs (1912), Rijkslandbouwconsulent van noord Groningen (1914-1918); secretaris van de Groninger Mij. voor Landbouw; hoogleraar in de landhuishoudkunde aan de Landbouw Hogeschool te Wageningen; voorts o.a. voorzitter van het Landbouw Economisch Instituut (1941-1960); voorzitter van de Raad van Toezicht bij de Cooperatieve Raiffeisenbank (1940-1948); voorzitter van het bestuur van die bank (1948-1964); Rijksbemiddelaar en voorzitter van de vereniging van Landbouwboekhoudbureaux. Dissertatie in 1923: 'Ontwikkeling en Betekenis der Landbouwindustrie in Groningen'. Auteur van twee zeer bekend geworden agrarische handboeken: `De Nederlandse Landbouw' (1935) en `Landbouwcooperatie in Neder land' (1946) alsmede een 'Inleiding tot de Landhuishoudkunde' (1948), terwijl hij tevens op het gebied van de Pachtwet aktief was (prae-advies Broederschap van Notarissen) als Eerste Raad resp. lid bij het gerechtshof te Arnhem en de Centrale Grond kamer.
