    Willem Bartels (Zantinga), landbouwer, geboren in 1752 te Noordhorn, doopsgezind, zoon van Barteld Willems en Hilje Cornelis, gehuwd met Trijntje Jacobs Hamming, van Hoogemeeden, die een zuster was van Derk Jacobs en van Harm Jacobs. Willem Bartels was een broer van Harm Bartels. Hij overleed op 12 juni 1847 (moet zijn: 11 juni 1847), 94 jaar oud. In 1808 was hij zetter van de omslag, in 1812 raad(slid) van de municipaliteit.

    Hij was landbouwer in Noordhorn. Op 6 juni 1786 werd Willem Bartelds Zantinga diaken van de mennonietengemeente in Humsterland.
