    Jantje Rozema werd geboren te Wierum, in de gemeente Aduard, op de boerderij 't Nijland. De school waar zij heenging was in Aduard, in het gebouw (kloosterkerk) van de N.H. gemeente (ingang onder de toren). Zij was een dochter van Poppe Jans Rozema en Hilje Harms Huizinga. (Uit Familieboek G.van Til): Ze zijn getrouwd in Aduard. Omdat het moeilijk was aan een boerderij te komen, zijn ze eerst klein begonnen op wat nu de "Lienhoeve" heet, dicht bij Steentil, gemeente Aduard. Na acht jaargingen ze naar Oldehove. In 't laatst van mei kwam er door bijzondere omstandigheden een boerderij vrij. Daar hebben ze 12 jaar gewoond, en zijn ze naar Fransum, gemeente Aduard, verhuisd. Na 13 jaar gingen ze naar Noordhorn. Ze hadden de boerderij"Bennemaheerd" gekocht, en hebben daar 17 jaar gewoond.
