    Jacob Olthof, landbouwer, gedoopt te Zuidhorn op 6 mei 1759, zoon van Luitje Gerrits Olthof en Trijntje Jacobs. Martje Luitjes, de eerste vrouw van Jan Hidding te Zuidhorn, is een halfzuster van hem, dochter van Luitje Gerrits en Roelofke Bartels, van Oostum. Luitje G. Olthof is een broer van Janna G. Olthof, de moeder van Jacob Jans Homan, van Noordhorn. Trijntje Jacobs is de zuster van Eltje Jacobs. Jacob Luitjes Olthof trouwde Diewerke Pieters Hooyboer. Hij overleed op 5 oktober 1826. In 1808 was hij zetter van de omslag, in 1812 raad(slid) van de municipaliteit.
