Claes trouwt omstreeks 1647 met Eelste Hommes, dochter van Hommo Tjapkes, landbouwer in Midwolda, no. 52, en Wibbe Mentkes. Eelste overlijdt voor 22 november 1660. In 1647 is ze weduwe van Harke Sibrants.
