    Luurt Luitjes (Hoeksema), landbouwer, geboren in 1783, doopsgezind, zoon van Luitje Luurts en Jaike Rengers, halfbroer van Hilje, de vrouw van Tonnis Klasen. Zijn vaders broer Luurt was de vader van Lubbert Luurts te Oosternieland en van Hilje Luurts, de schoondochter van Klaas Berends Westerdijk. Zijn tante Idje Luurts was de vrouw van Joh. Harkes te Niehove. Zijn andere tante Hilje Luurts was de moeder van Luurt Popkes te Niehove. Hij huwde met Anje Pieters Voorwerk, dochter van Pieter Harms, en overleed op 22 november 1826. Een dochter trouwde met een zoon van Jacob Rengers.
