Zijn zoon Egge Jans komt te Bierum voor. Zijn dochter Kunje huwde met Cornelis Eisses. Hij overleed op 7 juli 1841 als echtgenoot van Anje Niklaas Sterenberg. In 1810 was hij dijkrichter van Vierburen.

    Jan Kornelis Buurma, son of Cornelis Harkes and Kunje Jans was born in 4-1761 in Spijk. He died on 7-7-1841 in Spijk. He married Diewerke Egges Arkema, daughter of Egge Jacobs and Martjen Sijwerts was born about 1761 in Kolhol. She died between 1801 - 1802 in Spijk. Jan Kornelis Buurma was christened on 29-4-1761.
