"5 maart 1669 is Thomas, zoon van Harmen Egges, gedoept die voor knecht dient bij wedman Focco Amsinghs vrouwen moeder welcken olderen mennoniten zijn geweest." Aldus de tekst in het doopboek van de gereformeerde kerk van Noordbroek. Thomas trouwt op 3 november 1669 in Noordbroek (H.V.) met Elke Sijpkes. Elke heeft als broer Haijo Sijpkes. Ze is in 1669 weduwe vanHijndrijck Luijens.

    Thomas Harmens wordt gedoopt in de gereformeerde kerk van Noordbroek op 5 maart 1669. Bij hem wordt vermeld:"De gedoopte dient voor knecht bij wedman Focco Amsings vrouwe moeder". Zijn ouders Harmen Egges en Hille Thomas zijn menist.
