    Pouwell Janssen is mogelijk een zoon Jan N. N. en Rene. Zijn broer zal zijn Hebell Jansz, te Emden. Pouwell is landbouwer "tho Wagenborghenn, gebrueckt 21½ deimat inn Mijdtwolder hammerick", no. 87. Een kloosterboerderij, vanaf 1617 een Ommelander boerderij. De plaats waar de boerderij staat, wordt van oorsprong genoemd "de Wagenborger Harster". Een harster is een begroeide hoogte. Wanneer we anno 2001 naar de betreffende boerderij kijken vanaf bijvoorbeeld de Dellenweg, dan valt nog steeds duidelijk de hoogte in het veld te herkennen, waarop de boerderij staat. Pouwell trouwt omstreeks 1595 met Walke Menses, dochter van Menso Frerix en Sijwer Tunckenss (ehel.). Walke overlijdt na 24 september 1634. Zij hertrouwt met Haijo Egges. De heerden van Pouwell Janssen en Menno Sijaddes liggen in elkaars verlengde en vormen van oorsprong één groot stuk kloosterland, zowel binnen- als buitendijks gelegen.
