Albert wordt gedoopt op 30 december1794, "doen hij aan een bloedspuwing te bed lag, en begeerde door mij, H. J. Bakker (toen nog leeraar in Veendam), gedoopt te worden". Hij woont in 1793 te Nieuwe Pekela. Albert trouwt op 17 maart 1793 te Nieuwe Pekela (1e proclamatie), 26 april 1793 te Nieuwe Pekela (H.V.) met Neltje Berends. Zij is geboren op 11 september 1767 als dochter van Berend Geerts Kool, te Nieuwe Pekela, en Aaltje Reinders.
