    BAKER, Dorothy A.
    Portage Dorothy died Friday evening, September 17, 2010, at her home. She was born June 19, 1927, in 't Zandt, The Netherlands, a daughter of Hendrik and Anje Schlukebir Veld and immigrated to the United States in 1949. Dorothy was a devoted member of First Assembly of God and placed the church first in her life. She also loved to care for the elderly and enjoyed spending time at the Portage Senior Center. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, her husband, Jacob in 1991, and by her son, Richard in 2003. Surviving are: three children and their spouses, Joanne William Keyser of Pentwater, MI, Fred Polly Baker of Vicksburg and David Brenda Baker of Hastings; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or services.
