Onder zijn architectuur werden woningen gebouwd voor de Coöperatieve Bouwvereniging ·ÄòEigen Haard·Äô aan de Wilhelminastraat 1 t/m 41 (oneven nummers). Zie: Historische Mededelingen Steenwijk en Omstreken, jrg 5 (1988) nr. 2.
Hij was vanaf 1906 directeur van de gasfabriek en vanaf 1 januari 1907 ook directeur van het waterleidingbedrijf. Hij vervulde beide functies tot 1912. Zie Historische Mededelingen Steenwijk en Omstreken, jrg 7 (1990), nr. 1.
