Getuigen bij het huwelijk zijn zijn broers Klaas en Hendrik Rijkmans.

Hanneke Meulblok doet historisch onderzoek naar de Eerste machinale Steenbergsche Stoomkoffiebranderij uit 1919 in het Brabantse Steenbergen. Lubertus Rijkmans heeft deze koffiebranderij in 1919 opgericht. Hij was apotheker en drogist en had in zijn achtertuin een koffiebranderij. Het gebouw van de koffiebranderijk bestaat nog steeds. De huidige eigenaar wil het gebouw herstellen zoals het ooit gebouwd is. Aan de hand van een bouwtekening uit de hinderwetvergunning moet dit zeker lukken. Als de verbouwing klaar is dan is het de bedoeling dat het stadslogement met twee kamers voor overnachting gaat worden. De eigenaar heeft gevoel voor erfgoed en historie en hij wil de historie aan zijn gasten zichtbaar maken. Intussen hebben we aardig wat materiaal, maar een foto van Lubertus Rijkmans (en eventueel zijn vrouw Gezina Hoorn), zal de historie nog meer een gezicht geven.
