Mrs Heine Ettema dies at Her Home ( August 6, 1951), Funeral on Thursday ( Aug 9, 1951)
A five-year illiness proved fatal to Mrs Wemelina Ettema Monday evening, when she paassed away in her home on Capac Rd. She was 62 years of age and had liven in this community for 26 years.
Prayer service will be held at the residence at 1:30 PM Thursday , followed by service in the Christian Reformed Church, of which she was a member, at 2 O'clock. The Rev. Clarence Groot will officiate, Burial will be in the Imlay Township Cemetery,
Mrs Ettema was born in The Netherlands, Oct 15, 1888, and was married to Heine Ettema on Oct 15, 1912.
She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Miss Effie Ettema of Detroit, Mrs Christina Vander Ark, Mrs Hattie Prince and Mrs Wilhelmina Van Soest, all of Grand Rapids and Mrs Trace Elling on Imlay City, four sons Willem, Henry, Bernard, all of Imlay City, and Garrit of Lowrey Air Force Base, Denver Colo., and three sisters, Frientje, Dina and Geirtje Prime, all of The Netherlands.
The remaines were at Muir Bros. Funeral Home until Thursday morning , than taken to the residence.
