De moeder van de bruid en de voogd van de bruid, Egbert Zijlstra, kantoorloper, waren aanwezig en gaven toestemming tot het aangaan van dit huwelijk. De vader van de bruidegom had zijn toestemming gegeven bij notariële akte. De moeder van de bruidegom was overleden.

Heden den zeven en twitigsten Juli negentienhonderd acht verscheen voor mij Johannes Theodorus Brugman, Notaris te Amsterdam, in tegenwoordigheid der na te noemen getuigen: de heer Hendrik Martinus de Klark, zonder beroep, wonende te Zutphen, en aanmij notaris bekend.
De comparant verklaarde toestemming te geven tot het huwelijk van zijn zoon Ernst Frederik, geboren de vijftienden September achttienhonderd drie en tachtig, met Wilhelmina Henriette Zijlstra, geboren den vier en twintigsten October achttienhonderdacht en tachtig, uit het huwelijk van Pieter Zijlstra met Wilhelmina Gesina Keer.
Deze akte is verleden te Amsterdam op den datum in het hoofd gemeld in tegenwoordigheid van Engelbert Albert Jozef Wilhelmus Gefken, candidaat notaris en Cornelis Antonius Johannes Siebelink, kantoorbediende, beiden wonende te Amsterdam en aan mijnotaris bekend als getuigen.
Onmiddellijk na voorlezing hebben de comparant, de getuigen en ik notaris deze akte onderteekend, die in originali zal worden uitgegeven.

Toen hij het vak onder de knie had zelfstandig loodgieter in de Jodenhouttuinen, Weesperzijde 49/51, Amsterdam..
De Jodenhouttuinen zijn gesloopt i.v.m. wijkrenovatie en de bouw van het stadhuis en de Stopera.

In het militieregister 1903-1904 van Zutphen, blad 22 staat Ernst Frederik vermeld als wonende in Amsterdam met beroep winkelbediende. Adres van zijn vader was in de Barlheze, Zutphen en moeder Binnenvisscherstraat 14 Amsterdam. Hij trok lotnr. 118. In de kolom aanmerkingen staat broederdienst.
Op blad 60 van hetzelfde register: Broederdienst. Advies van de Militie commissaris: Geen bewijs van geleverd. Geen recht op vrijstelling.

DE COMMISSARIS DER KONINGIN IN DE PROVINCIE GELDERLAND verklaart, dat aan Ernst Frederik de Klark, geboren te Zutphen op 15 September 1883, zoon van Hendrik Martinus en van Martha Elisabeth Jansen bij de loting voor de lichting der Nationale Militievan het jaar 1903 voor de Gemeente Zutphen is ten deel gevallen No. 118. dat, buiten oproeping gebleven zijnde, hem tot geen dienst heeft verplicht.
Gegeven te A R N H E M, den 28 Augustus 1908.
De Commissaris der Koningin in de provincie Gelderland,
(get.) onleesbaar.

Op 8 juli 1941 werd aan Ernst Fredrik een pesoonsbewijs afgegeven, nr. 273793.

In het bevolkingsregister van Zutphen staat dat Ernst Frederik op 1 september 1899 vertrokken is naar Steenbergen (N.B.). Volgens het bevolkingsregister van Amsterdam vestigde hij zich op die datum samen met zijn moeder in de Binnen Visscherstraatin Amsterdam. De notitie in Zutphen zal wel een abuis zijn, tenzij hij van plan was naar Steenbergen te verhuizen, wat op het laatste moment niet doorging.
