    Anna Kreykes, age 97, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Prairie View Home in Sanborn, Iowa.
    Memorial Services will be Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon, Iowa. Rev. Luke Wynja officiating.
    Graveside Services at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at Hospers Cemetery in Hospers, Iowa.
    Anna Kreykes was born March 14, 1915 near Newkirk, Iowa. She was the daughter of Peter and Tillie (Van Es) Groen. She grew up on the family farm and attended a country school.
    She was united in marriage to Marcus Kreykes of Sheldon, Iowa on February 13, 1947, at the Newkirk Reformed Church. They lived and farmed southwest of Sheldon until 1981, when they retired and moved to Sheldon. They enjoyed traveling when they wereable.
    Anna was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon, where she was active when she was able. She was a member of the Golden Hour Circle and Christian Fellowship. She was a member of the Christian School Auxiliary.
    Anna enjoyed being a homemaker and helping her husband on the family farm. She had a pleasant disposition and was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She was passionate about her family and her Christian faith.
    Anna moved to Prairie View Home in Sanborn, Iowa on February 6, 2009, where she passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
    Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Joellen and Norman Scholten of Sheldon, IA, and their children, Marcus and Stacy Scholten and their son, Connor, Anna and Scott Stubbs and their children, Logan, Isabella and Reece, Nora and DamonMiller and their children, Alivia and Damon Jr.; Marsha Kreykes of Sioux City, IA; Rachel and Darrel Raih of Sioux Center, IA, and their children, Amanda Raih and son, Graham, Andrew Raih, Darren and Steph Raih and Danielle Raih; one brother: GaryLyftogt of Orange City, IA; sister-in-law: Marian Groen of Des Moines, IA.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus in 2009; two infant sons; one infant daughter; four brothers: John (Anna) Lyftogt, John Groen, Wilbur (Adeline) Riemersma, Peter (Minnie) Groen; two sisters: Matilda (Lawrence) Hyink, Hattie (Joe) Tensen; in-laws: Hattie Kreykes, Agnes (Gerrit) Van Surksum, Harriet (Henry) Kuiper, Fred (Marge) Kreykes, John W. (Gertrude) Kreykes, Henry (Alice) Kreykes, Arie (Pearl) Kreykes.
