    Born 25.04.1888 in Copenhagen, Denmark, baptized there 17.06.1888 at Vor Frue Church, confirmed there 29.03.1903 at Vor Frue Church, and died 12.05.1959 in Cipolletti, Argentina. He immigrated to Argentina in 1908, where he lived until his death. He was employed by the A.F.D. and Ferrocarrilles del Sud, being in charge of office work, and as a bookkeeper in the offices that the company had in Cipolletti, Río Negro (formerly Colonia Lucinda, Río Negro). AFD stands for Argentine Fruit Distributors, a British company established in 1928 and a subsidiary of “Ferrocarriles del Sud”. The AFD’s main objective was to help in the research of fruit varieties, advise agriculturists, and also deal and transport their production, by means of the railroad, where Axel also worked as a Book-keeper in Cipolletti’s station (most stations had fruit-packing facilities, so that the fruit could be sent to Buenos Aires and exported through the harbor to Europe). He also worked in Tucumán, Argentina, at
    a match factory. He married Margarita Agnes Jorgensen; she was born 11.11.1892, in Tandil, Argentina, and died 02.10.1972 in Cipolletti, Argentina. She was the daughter of Guillermo Jorgensen and Margarita Larsen. Axel and Margarita met in Tandil, Provincia de Buenos Aires, and were
    married there. They also lived in Tucumán, San Isidro (Province of Buenos Aires) and finally in Cipolletti. When Axel was settled in Argentina, he adopted the Roman Catholic faith, and baptized all of his children Roman Catholic.
  • He died on May 12, 1959 in Cipolletti, Argentina, he was 71 years old.
