Notes about Rachel Moore

Henry was the son of Ebenezer Flagg and Mary Ward Flagg of Newport, Rhode Island. His wife was Rachel Moore Allston Flagg, the daughter of John Moore Esq. Jr, and Elizabeth Vanderhorst. He was a noted physician of Charleston, South Carolina and was Surgeon General of the Army in the South during the Revolutionary war. He is said to have amputated the leg of Count Pulaski and practiced several year in South American before settling in Charleston.
