Notes about Pierre Robert

Born at Basle, Switzerland, in 1675. He was eleven when his parents moved to South Carolina. In 1701, he married Anne le Grande, in South Carolina. She died in about 1704. Pierre, Jr. married Judith Videaul in 1706. Pierre Robert, Jr. died in 1731. Among the children of Pierre Robert, Jr., and Judith Videaul was Jacques Robert.

Memorandum: came before Issac Le Grand, Esq. and Jacque Le Grand, Esq., and swore they did see Peter Robert, minister and Peter Robert, Junior sign within instrument. Signed Auguste Chastaigner. D. 10 Sept. 1703 R. 17 Nov. 1703 pg. 415

Pierre Robert was a Commissioner at Jamestown in 1706, a Justice of the Peace in 1721 , a Church Warden in 1731, and at his death in 1731 he left large unappraised landholdings, as well as a personal estate appraised at almost five thousand pounds, inclusive of books, furniture, tools, cattle, hogs, sheep, horses, and 16,100 pounds of "neet rive rice".
