Sir John Moore married Rebecca and moved to Philadelphia in about 1687 or so. He actually was quite wealthy. They had at least one son, John, born 1686 in Carolina Cty. This son died in NYC in 1749. He had married Frances Lambert in 1714. Their son, Stephen Moore was a Lt. Col. in the Rev. War and fought in South Carolina He either donated or sold the land he was willed in West Point NY to the Government for the Military Academy and went to Caswell Cty (now Person Cty) North Carolina where he built a plantation named Mt. Tirzah. He married a Griselda Philips of Boston.
