Notes about Joseph Glover
He was Lieutenant Colonel of the Colleton County Regiment from 1773-1774, at the time of the war with England. Henry Laurens appointed Colonel Joseph Glover to oversee gunpowder for the Collection County Regiment to whom the militia must apply for their proportion. On December 25, 1775, Col. Joseph Glover took command at Fort Dorchester to relieve Lt. Colonel Elliott whose Health was "in no good state."
