Viúvo (?), o Capitão Filipe de Campos passou para a vila de São Paulo, onde se casou na igreja matriz (Sé), em 9 de agosto de 1643, com a paulista Margarida Bicudo, filha do Capitão Manuel Pires e de Maria Bi-cudo. O assento do matrimônio foi visto e anotado por Pedro Taques de Almeida Paes Leme, para a sua Nobiliarquia Paulistana Histórica e Ge-nealógica.39 Já se achava perdido antes de 1900, por ocasião das cópias feitas por Luís Gonzaga da Silva Leme, na coleta de dados para a Genea-logia Paulistana.
