João Francisco Junqueira (Junqueira, 14 de novembro de 1727 - São Tomé das Letras, 5 de abril de 1819) foi um português que imigrou para a capitania de Minas Gerais durante a colonização do Brasil.[1][2]
No Brasil adotou o sobrenome Junqueira em referência ao local de nascimento, a freguesia de Junqueira, em Portugal, que outrora fazia parte de Barcelos.[2]
Casou em 16 de janeiro de 1758 com Elena Maria do Espírito Santo em São João del-Rei.[1][2]
Requereu a sesmaria do Campo Alegre e comprou a sesmaria do Favacho. Favacho ficava entre Carrancas e Baependi[1] e passavam pela região viajantes e tropeiros pelo caminho velho entre Paraty e Ouro Preto.[1]
As sesmarias do Campo Alegre e do Favacho formavam um latifúndio com cerca de três léguas quadradas.[2]
