Major de Ordenanças Manoel José Leite de Moraes, nasceu em
Araritaguaba, Pôrto Feliz, onde residiu e onde faleceu a__
15-2-1840 com 63 anos de idade, e onde ocupou honrosos car
gos de governança. Filho de Tomás Corrêa de Moraes, resi
dente na mesma localidade, onde faleceu em 1787. e de Isabel
de Anhaia Leite, falecida em 1803, foi proprietário de impor
tante fazenda de cana no bairro dos Pilões, onde fabricava
açúcar e aguardente. Casou-se em l.as núpcias, em 1795, com
Maria Luiza de Almeida, filha de José de Almeida Falcão,
n. em Sorocaba, morador por algum tempo em Cuiabá, onde
por vèzes estivera o seu pai, o mestre de campo Antonio de
Almeida Falcão, e onde o seu avô paterno, Fernando Dias de
Almeida Falcão, exercera o honroso cargo de capitão-mor re
gente dar minas, e de Maria Pinheiro, n. em Araritaguaba,
Pôrto Feliz, já anotados com a sua ascendência em E.M.
v. l.° às ps. 7 a 30, (S. L. v. 2 ps. 409, 378 a 379 e 316 e A.M.
ps. 12 a 13), e, em segundas núpcias, em 1837 em Pôrto Feliz,
com Matilde Martins de Aguiar, filha de Salvador Martins
Vital e de Antonia Mendes de Aguiar, casados em 1806 em
Pôrto F
