22. Miguel Moniz Barreto. Filho de Martim Afonso de Mendonça (pag. 39) e de sua terceira mulher D. Joana Barbosa.126 C.c. D. Angela da Rocha. Era capitao de ordenanças do Socorro. Por motivos desconhecidos, em 1697 perdeu Miguel Moniz Barreto a patente de capitão, sendo Condenado a dez anos de degredo em Angola. Não cumpriu pena; estava fugido, mas na Bahia,
ainda, em 1712. Sua mulher Angela era viúva em 1722, quando os carmelitas ganharam contra ela uma questão referente a um tal sítio "Parnatai´." Angela da Rocha † em 1753. Pais de:

2. D. Luiza Josefa de Menezes, que c.c. o cap. Antonio Ferreira da Silva, irmão da Santa Casa em 31.7.1721, de Lisboa, Filho de Manuel Ferreira e de s.m. Maria Quaresma. C.g.: Ferreira da Rocha Doria.
