A primeira filha do Barão de Melgaço recebeu por esposo a Cesário Corrêa da Costa, seu primo segundo, filho de Antonio Corrêa Costa que, como seu 2º presidente, governou a província em 1831, assumindo ainda a governança, como Vice-Presidente, em 1833, 1836, 1840 e 1842.

Era Cesário Corrêa abastado fazendeiro no distrito do Rio Cuiabá Abaixo, tendo sido seu pai, o primeiro Antonio Corrêa, um dos nossos grandes proprietários rurais do começo do século passado.
