Bacharel em Ciências Jurídicas e Sociais pela Faculdade de Direito do Recife em 1843. Capitão Secretário Geral do Comando Superior da Guarda Nacional da Comarca de Santo Antão da Vitória por Dec. Imperial de D. Pedro II de 23.03.1855, e despacho do Ministro e Secretário de Estado e Negócios da Justiça, José Tiburcio Carneiro de Campos (Lv.de Patentes nº 05, fls.109/109v, regulamentado às fls.43 do mesmo livro). Suplente de Juiz Municipal e Vereador da Comarca do Cabo, PE. Agricultor, proprietário dos engenhos Sibéria e Pimenteiras. Em 11.08.1869 juntamente com a sua segunda mulher, Bela de Siqueira Cavalcanti, vende por escritura pública à Manoel Cavalcanti de Almeida e Joaquim Alves da Silva, a propriedade "Aurora", sita no município de Bonito, PE (Escrituras de l868 e l870 do Cartório do Município de Escada, PE), e em 20.05.1875 assina uma hipoteca especial, alienando o engenho Massauassusinho ou Espírito Santo, Cabo, PE em favor do Cel. André Dias de Araujo como garantia do abono que este último prestou àquele, firmando como aceitante, conjuntamente com o hipotecante, duas letras de 12:500$000 (doze contos e quinhentos mil réis) a prazo de doze e vinte e quatro meses, tendo como sacador o Barão de Muribeca (Lv. de Notas nº 35, fls.103/105 do Cartório da Comarca do Recife, atual Cartório do Bel. Severino Pragana)
