(1) Bowling Speak, age ca. 48, that about 13 years ago he was purchasing a tract of land called Mudd's Rest from Barbery Mudd, daughter of Thomas Mudd. (2) Henry Mudd, age ca. 36. Jun 5, 1722 from Wm Maria Farthing of St Mary's County, innholder, to Ignatius Gardiner of Prince George's' County, for 80 £ sterling to sd Farthing paid by Luke Gardiner, father to the sd Igna. Gardiner, a tract of land in CC called Farthings Penny Worth, bounded by a tract of land called Boarman Reserve, now in the possession'Of-Henry Mudd, and the beginning of a tract of land called Saint Catherine's now in possession of John Smith, -containing about 790 acres.
