Notes about Sarah Frances Arthur

[Brøderbund WFT Vol. 7, Ed. 1, Tree #0812, Date of Import: Nov 25, 1997] !Sarah was a member of the Christian Church. She was reared & educated in Virginia and Illinois. Two nieces from St. Joseph, MO attended her funeral. They were Anna Belle (Mrs. G.W. Harrington) & Myrtl (Mrs. Edward Moore). Sarah died at age 85 from a hip/back injury. She is buried at Center Grove Cemetery. Her death certificate states her mother was Frances West & her father was Eli Arthur. Her obituary listed birthdate & place, parents, children & her marriage date. The obituary was in the 14 July 1911 issue of the Atchison County Mail (page 5, column 3) in Rockport, MO. "Grandma Macrander passed to the Great Beyond last Wednesday night & her remains were laid to rest in the Center Grove cemetery Sat. afternoon at 2 o'clock." She became a member of the North Star Christian Church at time of her death in 1911. She was buried next to her husband.
