Ruby F. Kittrell, 90; service was today
Ruby Fleming Kittrell, 90, of Morehead City, died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Carteret General Hospital.
Her funeral was to be at 11 a.m. today at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Rodgers and the Rev. Ray Whitby officiating. Burial will follow at the Doughty-Hill Family Cemetery, Newport.
Mrs. Kittrell is survived by a daughter, Iris Fleming Rice and husband Caroll; a son, Melvin E. Fleming and wife Lavonne; four stepchildren, Roy Kittrell and wife Jean, Walter Kittrell and wife Patti, Ralph Kittrell and wife Catherine and Marlene Roper and husband J.B.; a sister, Lois Pringle; five grandchildren, Don Rice and wife Candy, Debbie Brown and husband Jim, Eugene Fleming and wife Debi, Rodney Fleming and wife Constance and Anita Sklar and husband Curtis; five great-grandchildren, Willis Rice, Drew Brown, Samantha Fleming, Joshua Fleming and Christopher Fleming; and many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, the father of her children, Melvin "Charlie" Fleming; her second husband, Robert Kittrell; a sister, Katherine Roberson; two brothers, Wheeler Smith and Joe Smith.
Arrangements are by Munden Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. of Morehead City.

    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin ???Charlie??? Fleming Sr., and her second husband, Robert Kittrell.
    Survivors include a daughter, Iris Fleming Rice; a son, Melvin E. Fleming; four stepchildren, Roy Kittrell, Walter Kittrell, Ralph Kittrell and Marlene Roper; sister Lois Pringle; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
    The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Munden Funeral Home.
