WRIGHTSVILLE — Funeral services for Ms. Blanche Kittrell, 92, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kite Church of God with burial to follow at the Kite City Cemetery. Rev. Allen Meeks will officiate. Born in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Annie Poole Moates. She was retired from Sportscraft and was a member of the Kite United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Willie Jessie Kittrell and a son and daughter, Joe Kittrell and Carolyn Beasley. Ms. Kittrell died early Saturday morning in a local nursing home. She is survived by a daughter, Carrie Willette Price of Wrightsville; two sons, William (Randy) Kittrell of Wrightsville and Don M. Kittrell of Kathleen; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home of Wrightsville has charge of the arrangements.
