Sun News, The (Myrtle Beach, SC) - April 27, 2003 Deceased Name: Gertrude C. Kittrell NORTH LITCHFIELD Gertrude Cooke Kittrell, 86, of Middleton Place, died Friday, April 25, 2003, at Conway Medical Center.
She was born July 26, 1916, in Spartanburg, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Gertrude Burnett Cooke.
She was a longtime member of the Litchfield Country Club, a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and a member of the Altar Guild. She was a member of Waccamaw Garden Club.
Survivors include three sons, John Kittrell Jr. of Iowa, Carter Kittrell of Texas and James Kittrell of New York; a grandchild, Kim Stewart of Iowa; and three great-grandchildren, Chloe Stewart, Claudia Stewart and Greta Stewart, all of Iowa.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Kittrell.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at All Saints Episcopal Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to All Saint Episcopal Church, 3560 Kings River Road, Pawleys Island, 29585.
