HAMPTON - Virginia M. Kurbjun, 80, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006. Born in Boston, Mass., she had lived in Hampton for most of her life, where she was a civil service librarian. Virginia was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post No. 25 and Women of the Moose Lodge No. 1119. She was also a longtime volunteer at the Hampton VA Medical Center. Ultimately, she lived a good life and had many friends. A celebration of Virginia's life will be 6 p.m. Monday at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive in Hampton by the Rev. Norman G. Tippens. Viewing and visitation will follow until 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy are requested to take the form of contributions to the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post No. 25, 7609 Marshall Ave., Newport News, 23605. Arrangements are being provided by Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 825-8070.
