Hij werd geboren rond 1585 te Moergestel. Bij de erfdeling van 1605 was hij nog onmondig. Op 25 februari 1612 trouwde hij in Oisterwijk met Marij, dochter van Adriaan Jan Aalbertsen en Marij Gerard Paulus. Uit dit huwelijk zijn twee kinderen bekend:
* Adam,
* Willemke, Zij was getrouwd met Wouter Adriaan van der Achter, Uit dit huwelijk zijn twee kinderen bekend.

In 1614 verkreeg Aart de Brouwer uit de bezittingen van zijn vader "een huijs mette gronde ende erfenisse" en nog wat stukken grond, alles gelegen aan de Heikant in Moergestel.(17) Hij breidde zijn bezit in de daaropvolgende jaren nog diverse keren uit.
Uit 1633 is een rekening bewaard gebleven die Aart als rekenmeester van de hertgang Over 't Water te Moergestel heeft opgesteld.
Uit 1636 stamt een oorkonde van Philips IV van Spanje waarin o.a. Aart Jansen de Brouwer wordt vrijgesteld van vervolging, omdat hij de tienden van de hertgang Kerkeinde niet had kunnen afdragen vanwege de pest die Moergestel dat jaar had getroffen.
Hij was ook lid van het St. Joris gilde.
Aart de Brouwer is zeer waarschijnlijk in 1643 overleden.
