    promoveert aan de Universiteit van Leiden 6-9-1624,[3] [4] geneesheer, woont in 1627 "over de Bantambrug" ten huize van zijn zwager Hector Jansz van Chanu, daarna op 't Singel,[5], in 1669 op 't Singel, ondertekenaar van de Remonstrantse petitie van 1628, lidmaat van de Remonstrantse gemeente te Amsterdam 1630, en opziener daarvan (1631..1649),[6] reder (1630, 1640), koopman (1640), regent van het Aalmoezeniersweeshuis (1633) en van het Leprozenhuis (1638-1654), inspector van het Collegium Medicum (1639), doctor van het Oost-Indischhuys, "dat jaerlijx geeft vijf a ses hondert guldens", en als zodanig belast met het examineeren van de kandidaten voor het ambt van scheepsdokter bij de VOC,[7] commissaris van de Zeezaken (1653), [8] wordt op 24-4-1654 benoemd tot derde Rekenmeester, schepen (1653-1665) en raed (1660-1669) van Amsterdam, opziener en bibliothecaris van de Remonstrantse gemeente te Amsterdam,[9] schrijft op 23-6-1660 een gedicht op een portret van Jacob Heyblocq in het album amicorum van Jacob Heyblocq (1623-1690), rector van de Latijnse school te Amsterdam,[10] huw. get. (1664, 1665)
