Bij zijn huwelijk woont Daniël in Linschoten. De trouwakte van 1875 vermeldt drie getuigen uit Kamerik, maar één getuige uit Linschoten de 52-jarige veehouder Evert Vlooswijk; het is niet al te gewaagd om te veronderstellen dat Daniël bij hem woont, en wellicht is het ook wel dezelfde familie Vlooswijk die Julie Francoise Tindal in 1836 gastvrij onderdak verschafte. Na het overlijden van zijn ouders in 1852, resp. in 1856 woont Daniël blijkens het BR van Montfoort eerst nog in bij zijn oom Gijsbert Vreeswijk in het logement Onze Lieve Vrouwengracht.
Daniel en Maria wonen na hun huwelijk in 1875 aanvankelijk in Zegveld, waar zij een boerderij overnemen van de familie Verwey die naar Jutphaas vertrekt. Maar zij verhuizen wederom in juni 1880 naar Langbroek (wijk A, nummer 139). Op 2 mei 1892 wordt hij en zijn gezin uitgeschreven naar Zeist, en op 23 november 1892 gaat de tocht terug naar Barwoutswaarder (Barwoutswaarder 180A), toen nog een zelfstandige gemeente bij Woerden; op 31 november 1894 wonen zij in de gemeente Woerden. Maar niet voor lang: rond 1900 vermeldt het Bevolkingsregister van Utrecht de volgende feiten: Riouwstraat 72, 1900 Kapelstraat 67, 1901 van Utrecht naar Zeist, maar in datzelfde jaar weer terug naar Utrecht, Poortstraat 106, verhuist in 1910 naar Hopakker 28 en in 1920 naar huize St. Jozef te Achterveld/Stoutenburg (Amersfoort).
