Versaemelinghe van alle de sepulturen, epitaphien, besetten, wapens ende blasoenen, die gevonden worden in alle de kercken, kloosters, abdyen, capellen ende godshuysen, binnen de stad van Brugge. Het handschrift 449 van de openbare bibliotheek Brugge staat alom bekend als 'handschrift de Hooghe'. Wellicht geldt het niet als het meest prestigieuze manuscript uit de rijke handschriftencollectie van de Brugse bibliotheek. Maar zonder twijfel is het 'handschrift de Hooghe' het bekendste en zonder meer het meest geraadpleegde handschrift uit de verzameling. Het is genoemd naar Ignace-Michel de Hooghe (+ 1715) die omstreeks 1700 deze grafschriftenverzameling aanlegde (of liet aanleggen).
