Van Hendrik en Jacoba zijn acht kinderen bekend. De eerste vijf kinderen zijn geboren te Amsterdam tussen 1781 en 1795. Daarna zijn er twee dochters geboren in Leiden tusen 1797 en 1801. De laatste dochter wordt weer in Amsterdam geboren in 1805. Opvallend is dat het laatste kind Maria in 1805 hervormd gedoopt is terwijl alle vorige kinderen evangelisch luthers gedoopt zijn.
