Bij het overlijden van zijn echtgenote woont het gezin Theunis op het adres Goudsbloemgracht, kanton 4, nr. 313. Daarna woont hij volgens het Bevolkingsregister Amsterdam 1864 met zijn drie jongste zoons op het adres Goudsbloemstraat, buurt QQ, nr.135 en volgens het Bevolkingsregister Amsterdam 1870 alleen nog met zijn jongste zoon op het adres Willemsstraat, buurt QQ, nr.124. (De Willemsstraat is overigens ontstaan uit de in 1856 gedempte Goudsbloemgracht waar het gezin Theunis eerst heeft gewoond.)
