Hendrik Casimir II (Den Haag , 18 januari 1657 - Leeuwarden , 25 maart 1696 ) was van 1664 tot 1696 vorst van Nassau-Dietz en stadhouder van Friesland en Groningen.

Leven
Hij was de oudste zoon van Willem Frederik van Nassau-Dietz en Albertine Agnes van Nassau . Hij volgde, onder voogdijschap van zijn moeder, zijn vader op als stadhouder van Friesland en Groningen . In 1675 verklaarden de Staten van Friesland het stadhouderschap erfelijk voor het Huis Nassau-Dietz . Hendrik Casimir II werd daardoor de eerste Friese erfstadhouder . Zoals zijn voorgangers werd hij officier in het leger van de Republiek, maar met zijn neef en opperbevelhebber Willem III van Oranje kon hij slecht overweg. In 1674 liep hij zelfs over naar de Fransen. Hij keerde terug in 1688 tijdens de Negenjarige Oorlog , en in 1689 werd hij tot derde veldmaarschalk in het Staatse leger benoemd. Toen hij na de dood van Waldeck, de eerste veldmaarschalk, in 1692 niet diens positie kreeg toebedeeld, voelde hij zich gepasseerd en nam in 1693 opnieuw ontslag.
Hij werd als stadhouder opgevolgd door zijn zoon Johan Willem Friso .

Huwelijk en kinderen
Hendrik Casimir trouwde in 1683 met zijn nicht Henriëtte Amalia van Anhalt-Dessau (1666-1726). Uit dit huwelijk werden negen kinderen geboren:
