    Elmer Babcock, 88 passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Elmer was born on March 18, 1927 in Ridgewood, NJ to the late William and Margaret Babcock. On June 2, 1948, he married Jeannette Jeffer. They were together for 63 years until her death in 2012. He lived in Ridgewood, NJ until moving to Mt. Holly Springs, PA, in 1990 and to Cumberland Crossings in 2009. He was a WWII Navy veteran, serving on the USS Los Angeles in the Pacific Theater. He was a career firefighter in Ridgewood, NJ until retiring in 1975. He then worked for Degussa Corporation in Teterboro, NJ as facilities manager, retiring in 1989. He also worked as an electrician and handyman for many years during and after his years at the fire department. He was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church.

    He is survived by his children,a son of The Woodlands, TX, daughter, of Freeville, NY, and daughter of Mt. Holly Springs, PA; a brother, of Jacksonville, FL; and five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, . He was predeceased by his wife in 2012 and son-in-law Don Ten Kate in 2009.

    Visitation will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 202 W. Butler St., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Edward Alwine officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
