Jan married 2 Meijnou Dirks Spijker, a widow, on July 1737 in Andijk. Children: Etje (Feb 9, died May 20 1638).

Jan Verwiel and Ette Nannis are listed as members of the Buurtjeskerk in the 1723 list, living in Krimpen. However, it seems Jan didn't actually make profession of faith until May 13 1731. Interestingly, Meijnou is listed directly below him; they wouldn't marry for another 6 years. Both were from Krimpen at the time.
