Schipper / koopman.

‘t Vershuis Putten bestaat al meer dan 90 jaar! Het is opgestart door Gijs en Heintje Evers en vervolgens in de oorlog overgenomen door Gerritje van Wincoop-Evers. Deze werd bijgestaan door haar vader Geurt Evers (daar haar man Jan van Wincoop meegevoerd was in de oorlog en niet meer teruggekomen is). Het pand zoals het er nu uitziet heeft zij laten bouwen in 1955.

Hun zoon Gijsbert, * 19.10.1912 Ermelo, is in de 2e Wereldoorlog afgevoerd naar Neuengamme en daar op 13.03.1945 overleden. Hij was melkslijter en ongehuwd. Zwager Jan van Wincoop, * 29.03.1909 Putten evenzo en op 18.05.1945 in Neuenkirchen (Marine-hospitaal) overleden.
