Grietje is de dochter van Jan Zijp, geb. 14 mei 1802 Twisk, ged. 16 mei 1802 Twisk, ovl. 18 jun 1847 Twisk, landbouwer, burgemeester, woonplaats(en): Twisk, zoon van Maarten Zijp en Grietje Ariens Spanjaard. Jan werd tot burgemeester van Twisk benoemd bij Kon. Besluit van 22.6.1834 nr. 99, en geinstalleerd op 14.7.1834. Hij werd herbenoemd bij Kon. Besluit van 6.12.1837 nr. 94, ingaande 2.1.1838; 21.12.1834 nr. 44, ingaande 2.1.1844. Hij werd na zijn overlijden op 19.6.1847 opgevolgd als burgemeester door zijn broer Klaas. Gehuwd 05 mei 1825 Twisk met: Lijsbet Rooker, geb. 09 jul 1800 Twisk, ovl. 30 jul 1834 Twisk, dochter van Jacob Rooker en Trijntje Rustenburg.
