LAKE CITY - Frederick G. Zeestraten of Cadillac passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids at the age of 69.
He was born in Dearborn on Sept. 4, 1938 to Peter and Doris (Hubbard) Zeestraten. He married Sharon McManamey on Dec. 7, 1982.
Mr. Zeestraten had been employed at Fisher Body.
He is survived by his wife Sharon; 12 children: Robert (Tammy) Zeeatraten of Cadillac, Janet (Paul) Manry of South Boardman, Wayne Zeestraten of Marquette, Fred Jr. (Jane) Zeestraten of Republic, Matthew Zeestraten of Cadillac, Jim Parker of Wisconsin, Wilbert ? (Sarah) Parker of Cadillac, Michelle Berry of Cadillac and Kristina McManamey of Cadillac; one brother, Peter Zeestraten of Arizona; one sister, Lillian (Bob) Hamel of California; 28 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Neil and Benjamin; one sister, Mary; and three grandchildren.

      Zachary Elijah Zeestraten son of Matthew & Lisa Zeestraten of St. Louis, Michigan was stillborn on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma, Michigan.
      Zachary is survived by his parents, 2 sisters; Zoey & Zeara at home, and grand parents, John & Judy Ronk of St. Louis, Michigan and Fred & Sharon Zeestraten of Alma, Michigan.
      Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be 10 A.M. until the time of services. Pastor Lillian French will officiate and burial will take place at the Wheeler Township Cemetery.
      Memorials may be made to the family. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
