Edgecombe CountyAugust Term 1804To the worshipful court of Edgecombe County.The petition of Lewis Rountree by his guardian Francis Rountree and Trecy Rountree and Sally Rountree by their guardian William Ellis...complaining shewing to your Worships that a certain Moses Rountree father to your petitioners departed this life sometime in April last leaving your petitioners and Nathan Rountree, John Rountree, and Benagy Rountree his next kin at law ___ your petitioners further shew that the said Moses Rountree died seized and possessed of a certain tract of or parcel of land lying and being in the County aforesaid containing by estimation 354 acres lying on Hominy Swamp and bounded by the lands of Benjamin Farmer, and others and that the said Moses Rountree dies seized and possessed of another tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county aforesaid containing by estimation 218 acres adjoining Contentnea Creek bounded by the lands of Benjamin Simms, the orphans of Hardy ? Robertson deceased and others.
